This session explored the unique settlement experiences of newcomer children and the services, programs, and practices that best address their needs. The panelists shared findings from research involving newcomer parents and professionals working with newcomer children. The discussion highlighted recommendations to improve child care programming in settlement agencies and newcomer families’ access to early childhood services. This panel was moderated by Professor Patrizia Albanese of Ryerson University.
